Hudson Valley Professional People of Color was founded in 2016 by Laci Duarte, a passionate advocate for inclusivity and connection within professional communities. Born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in the diverse landscapes of the Hudson Valley, Laci recognized the need to create space where professionals of color could come together to foster meaningful relationships and support one another. What began as a simple Meetup group swiftly blossomed into a vibrant community of over 400 members, highlighting the hunger for connection and collaboration among individuals from all walks of life.
